Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before booking a session or purchasing a
package with Deliberate Choices (“we,” “us,” “our”). By booking a call, purchasing a
package, or using this website, you agree to the terms below.
Nature of Services
Deliberate Choices provides coaching services focused on identity,
values, and decision-making. Coaching is not therapy, medical care,
or mental health treatment, and is not a substitute for licensed
clinical care. If at any point it seems a licensed therapist would better
serve you, we will say so directly.
No Guarantee of Results
We make every effort to help you reach your goals, using strategies built from
years of experience. However, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or results,
as your results depend significantly on your own engagement and effort in the
process.
Payment
Packages must be paid in full, in advance, through Stripe, no later than the day of
your first session, to receive package pricing.
Refund Policy
All packages are non-refundable.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
If we miss a scheduled call, it will simply be rescheduled. Otherwise, 48 hours
notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session. Repeated cancellations may
result in a two-hour deduction from your remaining package hours.
Confidentiality
What you share during sessions is treated as confidential, except where disclosure
is required by law (for example, where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others).
Intellectual Property
All content on this website and provided during coaching, including but not
limited to the Default or Deliberate? assessment, session materials, and speaking
content, is the property of Deliberate Choices and may not be reproduced or
distributed without permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deliberate Choices is not liable for any
indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services
or website.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, without regard to conflict
of law principles. [Confirm the correct state with an attorney before publishing.]
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after
changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
